Undergraduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence
A new interdisciplinary certificate designed for students across all majors, providing a foundation in artificial intelligence and its applications across fields.
The 18-semester-hour certificate combines a required introductory course with a flexible set of electives drawn from multiple disciplines. Students build core knowledge of AI concepts while exploring how artificial intelligence is applied in areas such as business, engineering, journalism, the arts, and the social sciences.
The program emphasizes both technical understanding and human-centered perspectives—equipping students to apply AI tools in practical contexts and to critically evaluate their ethical and societal impact.
