Exploring how artificial intelligence is shaping our shared future

The AI and Society Panel Series brings together researchers, practitioners, students, and members of the public to explore how artificial intelligence is affecting our lives, our work, and our communities.

Through interdisciplinary conversations during the 2026–27 academic year, the University of Iowa will bring together perspectives from across campus and beyond to examine the opportunities and challenges of AI, engaging in thoughtful civil discourse around emerging technologies while keeping human expertise, experience, and judgment at the center of the conversation.

AI and the Environment

The UI Debate Team will take the stage for this panel event to explore the environmental impact of artificial intelligence and discuss the role of responsible and sustainable approaches to AI development and use.

AI Teaching and Learning Summit

Join educators, academic leaders, instructional designers, students, and community partners for the University of Iowa's AI in Teaching and Learning Summit.
