The AI and Society Panel Series brings together researchers, practitioners, students, and members of the public to explore how artificial intelligence is affecting our lives, our work, and our communities.
Through interdisciplinary conversations during the 2026–27 academic year, the University of Iowa will bring together perspectives from across campus and beyond to examine the opportunities and challenges of AI, engaging in thoughtful civil discourse around emerging technologies while keeping human expertise, experience, and judgment at the center of the conversation.
Coming Up
Additional events throughout the academic year will explore the relationship between AI and some of the most consequential issues facing society, including its impact on education, law, and the future of work.
