The University of Iowa launched its new AI at Iowa website, creating a central destination for students, faculty, staff, researchers, and clinicians to explore artificial intelligence resources, guidance, and opportunities across campus.

Designed to help the university community confidently navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape, the site brings together trusted information, institutionally supported tools, training opportunities, and best practices in one convenient location. Whether someone is just beginning to explore AI or looking to deepen its use in teaching, research, or daily work, the website provides a clear starting point.

“Artificial intelligence is reshaping how we learn, teach, discover, and work,” said Barry Thomas, associate provost for faculty and strategic operations. “Our goal is to ensure the University of Iowa community is prepared to lead that transformation thoughtfully.”

The site offers guidance on responsible AI use, highlights secure AI tools available through the university, showcases AI courses and programs, and keeps visitors informed about emerging technologies, campus news, and upcoming events.

“This site brings together the guidance, tools, and resources our community needs to explore AI responsibly and confidently,” said Brad Rohrer, associate vice president and chief information officer. “By expanding access and providing trusted resources, we’re creating an environment where AI innovation and responsible stewardship go hand in hand.

The website includes AI use cases and tools for specific roles and responsibilities, side-by-side comparisons of AI tools, academic courses and programs related to AI, resources for secure and responsible AI use, and training opportunities ranging from self-paced learning to workshops and consultations.

As AI continues to evolve, the AI at Iowa website will grow alongside it, serving as the university’s authoritative source for AI. By bringing together expertise from across campus, the site supports Iowa's commitment to preparing its community to thrive in an AI-enabled future while using these technologies responsibly and ethically.
